Hi, I’m Lau
I am a visual artist from Quebec City.
Elbé is my world. ☀️
No matter the artwork or project, I create to make room for imagination, play, and freedom. At the heart of my practice, I explore our relationship with performance and control. Abstract art teaches me to embrace exploration and celebrate the beauty that emerges from it. I’m reconnecting with spontaneous movement. I dance on the fine line between chaos and structure, where the deliberate meets the intuitive.
In the creative process, juxtaposed elements enter into a dialogue and suddenly evoke images, characters, landscapes, or three-eyed animals.
I create to rediscover this sense of wonder.
I create to awaken our imagination - free and uninhibited.
I create to invite you into a luminous haven, where your childlike heart is the sole director.
I create so that, together, we may allow ourselves to dream better.
forbeing art of this and joining in the fun.
I hope to splash a little beauty your way along the way.
Mon parcours
Originally from Quebec City, I moved to Montreal in 2013 to complete a bachelor’s degree in communication at UQÀM. I then stayed there to work as a video production coordinator and as a project manager at an advertising agency. It was in 2021, back in Quebec City, that I felt the need to express my creativity and free myself from the pressures of performance.
Since then, I’ve been taking on more and more projects and sharing my creative world through original works, art workshops, exhibitions, murals, merchandise, and various collaborations.
